Just as a post-script:

Friday after I got home, I telephoned my supervisors and alerted them to the situation, including the children with drugs in class. I also called the school's campus detective. Since he was not at his telephone, I left a message with my home number, and also my husband's classroom number if he has further questions.

I did this not only because it was what I am supposed to do, but out of protection for myself and for both schools involved.
